By default, every new post you create will be shown at the homepage, ordered by the published date.
Do you want to use a static page as a homepage, and have your posts at another page?
This is quite easy to do. Let’s see how:
- First you will have to create a static page that will be your Homepage. Go to Pages > Add new and create a New page. Give it a name e.g. “Home”. Hit the Publish button on the top right.
- Now let’s create another static page to use it as the place where your posts will appear. Go to Pages > Add new and create a New page. Give it a name e.g. “Blog Entries”. Hit the Publish button on the top right.
- Now let’s assign the roles to the those 2 pages we just created. Go to Settings > Reading and from the first set of radio buttons, check the “A Static page”.
- From the Front Page dropdown select the “Home” page and for the Posts Page choose the “Blog Entries” Page, like the screenshot below shows. Click Save and you are good to go.
