The Current page template is an addition to the latest theme version. What it does is actually very simple: It will always show your latest post. Let’s say for example that you want to distribute a link for your site where the link will remain the same but the content will always be your latest post.
This is how this template works. Also, please note that the page will show your latest post regardless of the page’s content.
