If you are into premium WordPress themes, then staying up to date with the latest theme updates can be a painful task. No more. Now there’s a plugin for that.
Why should you update after all?
Theme updates are crucial. At our themes we push frequent updates that optimize the theme’s performance, fix bugs that users report and provide compatibility with new plugin versions such WooCommerce or WPML. Updating is highly recommended if you wish to have a healthy website.
What you had to do until now.
If you had selected to get notified when a theme update is available at Themeforest, then you would receive an email. You would then need to download the files from your downloads page, and replace the old files on your server via FTP. If you had not selected the option to get notified, then you would just need to check frequently at the theme page, to see if you are running in the latest version.
Introducing Stag Envato Updater plugin
We have just created a free plugin that checks if a new theme version is available. This plugin will not work only for Codestag themes, but with every theme purchased from Themeforest. Also, it plays well with WordPress multisite, so it will be real handy to use if you are using many themes for your sites.
The plugin is available at Github and you can download it right away. Click on the “Download Zip” button on the sidebar and install as a regular plugin.
Activate, and the plugin will check for available theme updates, and if found, you will be able to update with a single click.
