Issue with Instagram widget

Heads up! This issue was fixed in StagTools v2.1.0, released on Feb 16th, 2016. If you’re still getting any issues setting up the Instagram widget, please let us know via our support.

Recently, there have been some changes at the Instagram API, which resulted in a malfunction of the Instagram widget which is generated by our StagTools plugin.

We are going to update the StagTools plugin quite soon, but if you need an urgent solution in order for your Instagram feed to play well, you can download the pre-release version now, which addresses the issue. Here’s what to do:

  1. Click on this direct link to download the pre-release version of the StagTools plugin from Github
  2. At your WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins > Add new, and choose to add a new plugin by “upload plugin” button on the top.
  3. Upload the zipped folder you just downloaded from Github.

That’s it! You should be good to go. Note that now you need to enter some additional info at the Instagram widget, like the Client ID. Click on the inline link to register for a new client on Instagram. Once you obtain the ID, enter it at the field and hit save.

Remember to check for available updates of the StagTools. Once found, feel free to update.
