By default, the Shift Homepage will display your latest posts. There is no need to configure anything about that.
But if you want your front page to display a static page, go to
Settings > Reading and from the first set of radio buttons, check the “A Static page” and from the front page dropdown select the page you want to use as a homepage, like at the screenshot below. Click Save and you are good to go.
